The Service Delivery Process Consultant specializes in process reengineering focused on service delivery related to The University of Maryland's Division of Information Technology (DIT) and campus processes. As part of the process innovations group, the role evaluates end-to-end processes as it relates to customers and clients. This position performs process and data modeling, identifies best practices, creates and assess performance measurements, and delivers tactical and strategic recommendations. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a long-term plan and strategy for the overall service delivery efforts in DIT.

Minimum qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. EXPERIENCE At least 3 years of demonstrated process experience in industry or academic settings, including at least 1 year experience supervising (supervision of student's operating in a professional role counts). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Superior analytical skills, logic and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Business Process Analysis methodologies.
Knowledge of Service Delivery.
Experiencing executing change and/or business process improvement efforts.
Demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity and ability to learn on the fly to understand and solve new problems.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written in a manner which is clear, logical and consistent.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively work as a team and independently. Preferences
Masters degree in business, engineering, or social science
Currently working within the USM
Familiarity with higher education
Experience with organizational development
Experience with change management

Physical demands: sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
