Film and Representation Studies - Visiting Assistant Professor St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year
visiting assistant professor position in Film and Representation
Studies to begin August 2019. This position is potentially
renewable for an additional year, based upon success in the first
year. Specializations in African-American cinema, cinemas of the
Global South, or feminist film are especially desired. Scholars
with the ability to teach filmmaking or screenwriting are also
encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach 3 film
studies courses per semester, including special topics courses in
their field and either Introduction to Film Studies, History of
Cinema, or World Cinema. Ph.D. or MFA is required at the time
of appointment. Also, experience teaching film studies at the
undergraduate level is required.
