Production Support Manager

Tremendous opportunity for a Production Support Manager to join an industry leader where you can make an impact.

This is a newly created position to help drive the establishment of an enterprise Data Ecosystem across all of our companies and a transformation to Big Data and the Cloud.

You will be managing production support and providing technical leadership for our Enterprise Data environment across our enterprise. You will initially manage production support, and then your role will transition toward the beginning of the year to managing both production support and DevOps. Duties include managing production operations, leading the transition to our next generation data platform, developing and implementing operational SLAs to ensure the team are meeting service levels, directing the transition to a DevOps model, planning for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, continuous process and performance improvement, resolving system bottlenecks, managing incident and problem resolution, performing root cause analysis, managing and prioritizing workload and resources, managing 3rd parties, application monitoring and tuning, assisting with 24x7x365 on-call rotation, partnering with vendor and on and offshore resources, mentoring and coaching teams, and collaborating with other technical teams and managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5 + years managing Data production systems
  • Development Background as a Programmer OR Development Manager
  • Cloud (prefer Azure)
  • Technical leadership in the design, build, and production of data supply chain and ecosystem.
  • Data warehouse/ETL
  • Big Data/Data Lake
  • Data management, BI and Analytics experience
  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
  • Agile
  • Strong process improvement experience
  • Very strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent Communication/Presentation Skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Masters Degree
