Education: Minimum of 12 months of clinical training in an accredited school of cytotechnology. Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college with 20 semester hours of biologic science, 8 semester hours of chemistry and 3 semester hours of mathematics is preferred.
Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
Previous experience as a cytotechnologist or completion of a formal program for cytotechnology is required.
Certifications/Licensure: Registered or registry eligible as a cytotechnologist by the Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Must achieve registered statue within one year of employment.
