Cobham is seeking a Planner II that will be responsible forthe application and maintenance of available scheduling tools forassigned critical programs. Maintains and presents a detailedprogram status. Responsible for the establishment of a baselineplanning structure. Prepares, maintains and presents program statusinformation for supervisory and Business Area management review.Provides support and guidance to junior level planning personnel.
This position is located in Lansdale, PA.
Develops plans and schedules for Operations activities onassigned critical programs. Provides technical guidance to lower level planning personnel.Provides support to the Operations Program Manager in thedevelopment and maintenance of first unit flow plans anddocuments.Confers with Operations Program Manager and program personnelto secure and coordinate information necessary for thedevelopment of manufacturing plans and schedules.Assures that planning data items are properly maintained inOracle, and are compatible with applicable program plans andschedules.Analyzes various support data (computer reports, drawings,bills of material, lead times, fixed order quantities, etc.) toestablish Master Demand and Manufacturing Kit Release schedulesin support of contractual end item delivery requirements. Generates appropriate documents to assure plans and schedulesare properly input into the Oracle system.Investigates the causes of schedule impacts and recommendscorrective action(s).Compiles monthly program summarizes and status packages.Prepares charts, graphs and reports outlining program statusagainst schedule for presentation to management.Assists the NRE Planner with schedules and status ofOperations non-recurring activities associated with designrelease, tooling, process development and test equipment.Analyzes the complexity of proposed engineering changes toassess the impact on Operations activities. Works with Ops Master Schedules to assess operations capacityand level loading.Reviews various reports to ensure Company inventory &scheduling systems are accurate and properly maintained. Workswith department management to facilitate the collection andanalysis of data in support of various department performancemeasurement and metrics. Recommends procedural changes when warranted.Coordinate with Configuration Management to keep plans andschedules compatible with product structure. Attends Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings andanalyzes engineering change orders (ECO) activity to determinecomplexity and minimize cost and schedule impacts.Maintains state of the art knowledge of the latest planningand scheduling techniques and applications. Maintains appropriate knowledge of Material ManagementAccounting System (MMAS) requirements. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience3-4 years' experience in production/material control or amanufacturing planning environmentOne (1) + years' experience interpreting engineering drawingsOne (1) + years' experience in the use of configurationsystems and production planning techniquesOne (1) + years' experience in Engineering Resource Planning(ERP)Experience to expert level with Microsoft Office packageIn Order to be considered for this opportunity, you must beeligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, whichrequires USA CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications:
Advanced computer experience required including proficient useof various software packages for analysis and reportingStrong organizational, presentation and communication skillsrequiredCertification in National Association of Purchasing Management(NAPM)Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and American ProductionInventory Control Society (APICS)Certified in Production and Inventory Management (C.P.I.M.)preferredOracle experienceSecurity:
