The American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), is a nonprofit, bipartisan membership organization whose mission is to advance the well-being of all people by influencing modern approaches to sound policy, building the capacity of public agencies to enable healthy families and communities, and connecting leaders to accelerate learning and generate practical solutions together. APHSA seeks a Policy Associate to support the Collaborative Center which is designed to advance our value proposition and create opportunities for collective leadership and impact. The Collaborative Center concept intends to achieve a single, unifying platform that connects all aspects of H/HS with related sectors and creates a healthier ecosystem that fosters the outcomes we all desire. JOB SUMMARY: The Policy Associate is responsible for supporting the Association's Center for Child and Family Well-being, APHSA's newest Collaborative Center, and, for coordinating the work of the Center across the Association's Influence, Build and Connect teams.
The position supports in connecting the work of the Center including support to APHSA's affinity groups, such as the National Association of Public Child Welfare Administrators (NAPCWA).
The APHSA Collaborative Center, the CCFWB is charged with the goal of leading national efforts to transform the operations, policies and practices of public sector health and human service agencies and programs, through whole family and preventative-focused approaches and toward the sustained well-being of all children, youth and families. Major Responsibility #1:
Support the development and continuous operation of the Center for Child and Family Wellbeing. Major Responsibility #2: In coordination with the Director, assist in the administration of the affinity group and work group committees. Major Responsibility #3:
Policy, Strategic Partnership, and Communications.
Support APHSA's influence strategy through the strategic partnerships and effective use of communication channels, including opportunities to showcase member-driven innovations and solutions, especially through the lens of local agency members. Category: Administrative , Keywords: Policy Advisor
