PACT Master's Clinical Counselor The Helen Ross McNabb Center () is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services. The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient and crisis services. The Center is seeking motivated staff members that possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. Excellent verbal, written and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as, maintaining proper documentation. Clinical staff members must be able to take and pass, without major modifications, a course in Handle with Care. This program requires hands-on, physical components to ensure the safety of the clients and staff. Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients. HRMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). HRMC is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic professional for the following position: PACT Master's Clinical Counselor. Job Requirements Education/Knowledge: Must have at least a Master's degree in the field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or other behavioral science field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide and mental retardation. Licensure/certification (or eligibility) for professional area is required. Experience/Skills: Must have at least one year of practical experience working with the SPMI population. Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with an SPMI to live and work in the community while having access to competent and appropriate support services. Must have a demonstrated ability to abide by professional/ethical code of conduct and to establish supportive and respectful relationships with clients. Physical Environment: Possible exposure to biological hazards. Valid driver's license with an F endorsement. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job Summary Serves as a clinical member of a multi-disciplinary team providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support for clients; Serves as a clinical specialist for rehabilitation issues; Conducts assessments of client functioning; Provides group and individual therapy tailored to the needs of clients; Provides side-by-side support based on client treatment goals; Provides referral, linkage, and advocacy services; Conducts home visits and follow up services as defined by the PACT model; Provides crisis intervention and emergency services. Embraces the key values of case management: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation, and continuity of care. This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
