Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of the desired surface characteristics and characterization of its properties to improve electrode performance to add value to customer. Support a wide variety of surface research and development activities associated with silicon and other like electrode materials. In addition, when necessary, guide manufacturing engineering teams in the plant on surface related technical problems among other duties.
Functional and Technical Skills: Interested individuals should be highly motivated, innovative, and able to conduct independent research. Candidate is expected to interface with supplier technical teams, partner with universities, and frequently communicate with technical and non-technical internal customers. Candidate must possess excellent experimental design skills, good communication skills, and routinely conduct hands on experiments. Supervision of engineers or technicians may also be required. Anticipated travel is approximately Education and Experience: PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, physics or related technical field. 5+ years of industry experience in surface engineering and analysis
