Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval ofproducts through the complete production cycle; work fromengineering plans and production specifications to establishproduction schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements;coordinate production plans to ensure materials are providedaccording to schedules; establish monthly planning meetings,reporting schedule statuses, creating and presenting reports tomanagement; work closely with departments to understand current andpotential issues and limitations that impact timely delivery ofproduct.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Generates schedules, flow sheets and other tools for thetracking of work in progress (WIP).Perform Rough Cut capacity planning for overall factorycapacity. Ownership for long term planning, including thedevelopment, validation, and maintenance of factory capacityplanning. Attend Sales and Operations planning meetings and provideplans for future work schedule, suggesting changes to MasterSchedule as appropriate.Monitor Production Control (PC) group activities to ensureschedule compliance and report variances.Monitor any major issues that may impact the master scheduleand report them at the status meeting. Measure and report activities relative to the master scheduleand customer satisfaction; create, analyze, interpret andimprove operational data. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safetypolicies and practices.Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions forimprovements.Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area aswell as events for other areas to enhance cross-functionalproblem solving.Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SETteam support as appropriate.Develop and maintain key business metrics including, but notlimited to performance to revenue, customer on-time delivery,past due revenue, and past due schedule line items. Coordinate with all functions, as needed , to directmonth end closing shipment activities.Evaluate, perform simulates to predict impact, and executeproposed build plan modifications, including expedites, schedulepush outs, and changes in requirements.Work in close coordination with Continuous Improvement andProduction Planning on improvements of factory work cell shoploading for capacity and linearity.Perform other related duties as assigned. Coordinate and follow through with rework instructions fortravelers with support of engineering and manufacturingpersonnel;Performs work using SAP information system to track productioncontrol work orders;Strong knowledge of site products, manufacturing processes,and functional roles is a key attribute.Able to drive actions across functional boundaries isfundamental to the role.Able to lead the Obeya room daily production meetingsMinimum Job Qualifications: (The following qualifications can beacquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/orvocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
A minimum of three (3) experience in electronicsmanufacturing, products, and processes is preferred. Experience in production control, materials, scheduling and/ormanufacturing preferably, with experience in productioncontrol planning in an ERP environment and/or SAP, a plus;Bachelor's degree, required; Master in Business Administration,a plus. Communication skills: ability to receive messages bytelephone, in person, electronically and in writing; askquestions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability toread, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbalinstructions as well technical publications including, operatingand maintenance instruction and procedure manuals; communicateacross organizational levels; ability to write reports andcorrespondence clearly and concisely; ability to effectivelypresent information and respond to questions from individualsand managers, internal and external customers, and the generalpublic; ability to communicate with quality, integrity andrespect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovationand possibilities;Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide inall units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions anddecimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and todraw and interpret bar graphs; Analytical skills: review and compare data to identifyinconsistencies and determine priorities; ability to deal withproblems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations; ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;Computer skills: working in a networked environmentusing a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Power Point,Excel and Word software programs; working knowledge ofEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP; Time Management and Organizational skills: flexibility andadaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability tomaintain confidentiality; Excellence Behaviors: remain engaged, proactive andpositive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and befully accountable for their success; align actions, behaviorsand conversations to what matters most; bring out the best inothers and recognize the value in every person's contributions.Certifications and License Requirements:
Certified Production Inventory Control Manager (CPICM); orCertified Integrated Resource Manager (CIRM); or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM); or, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), a plus. Security:
