Key Responsibilities: Ensure client expectations and IT standards are met through a thorough understanding of technology developments and competitive advancements. Act as liaison between business partners, clients, and the IT Department to create, develops, and implement solutions. Ensure IT team follows company policies, procedures, and change control process guidelines to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Prioritize multiple initiatives; establish and manage timetables for the evaluation, developments, and deployment of all technology based services. Develop and administer short and long range plans for business unit. Routinely provide assessments of existing IT environments and take action to ensure world class status. Safeguard and ensure the integrity of company data assists. Oversee contract negotiations for the acquisition and maintenance of company technologies. Identify future trends, standards, issues, and opportunities surrounding technology that could impact existing strategies or lead to conception of new ones. Provide company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for technology related functions. Oversee and guide important initiatives. Develop and maintain policies and process for consistent systems development delivery and support. Collaborate with teams in Information Technology and business partners to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements associated with product development and application troubleshooting. Provide direction and leadership to department associates and management. Partner with Human Resources and Training to support recruitment, retention, and training initiatives. Train and consult team members on problem resolution techniques. Build/maintain strong, effective teams that foster high performance and morale. Acquire, train, and maintain competent staff. Interview employees and provide initial and advanced training, cross training, and appropriate backup. Monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching, handle promotions, transfers, and discipline, provide work direction and delegate responsibilities, develop team environments (inside and outside department). Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience. Minimum five years of experience in a leadership role leading IT initiatives and support of software technologies preferred. Minimum three years project management experience. Medical billing and terminology experience a plus. A good understanding of relational database management system, especially SQL. Ability to establish effective professional relationships with all internal and external business partners. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization as well as strong technical documentation expertise. Strong critical decision making skills. High degree of innovation, analysis, and reason to solve highly complicated problems. Ability to conceptualize issues in order to resolve problems in an unstructured or dynamic environment, having significant organization wide impact. Ability to resolve complex problems in the absence of technical guidelines or precedents where generally applied principles are inadequate or unavailable. Significant experience working with Microsoft Office application including, but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Access, and SharePoint. Process Mapping experience in Visio or similar software preferred. Good knowledge of systems (e.g. various programming languages, databases, system and network architectures, design patterns, etc.) and quality assurance methodologies preferred. Ability to effectively lead and coach teams to achievement of goals, objective, and adherence to group and corporate values. Leads large scale projects over extended periods of time. Ability to adjust quickly to changing business needs. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Requirements:
Physical Demands: General office demands including sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Dexterity with general office equipment including but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and calculator. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to handle stress in a fast paced environments with multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting to a changing atmosphere.
