General Description
Under the direction of the Director of PHN, the Quality Improvement Coordinator serves as the data architect specific to Parrish Health Network (PHN) Business Intelligence and population management initiatives across the continuum of care.
The Quality Improvement Coordinator utilizes the data intelligence to oversee projects to improve HEDIS/Star coding accuracy and ratings, and network quality ratings while reducing medical cost and maintaining high quality evidence based patient care.
Implements special programs/projects that are population-based and assists in coordinating the work effort with providers and affiliates.
The Quality Improvement Coordinator will serve as the primary support person to network wide improvement initiatives and external quality review programs and will provide education, coaching, support, and assistance.
Key Responsibilities - Provides Business Intelligence through collecting and analyzing raw data and transforming into information and knowledge to be used in PHN Operational Decision Making.
- Responsible for coordinating and project managing aspects of Parrish Health Network Quality Program in a manner that is effective at improving the quality of services provided to enrollees and provider partners, improving the internal systems of the organization and maintaining NCQA PCMH accreditation.
- Identify and promote the expansion of best practices, share expertise, and perform assigned tasks; Skills and ability to be a focused, proactive, trust-worthy, creative leader, and an effective communicator.
- Works closely with the analytics function in the development of report specifications to ensure quality, validity, and relevance of the data, obtains data for and/or completes reports as needed to meet contract and regulatory requirements, and tracking of ongoing data.
Formal Education - Bachelor s Degree required - health care or business related degree.
Work Experience - Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Work experience with Medicare Advantage programs, commercial payers, and physician practices, strongly recommended.
