Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, The MASTER MATERIALS and FINANCIAL PLANNER completes a number of tasks, following appropriate planning rules and utilizing Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Project, and (initially) Quickbooks to develop and maintain the master production, procurement, and construction schedule for all of the company's projects, preparing schedules with inputs from several prime sources, understanding the work and time involved in planning each activity, and reporting initial and revised schedules to all users.
The master planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete procurement, production, and installation cycle. The material planner ensures a steady flow of all materials needed to keep all projects operating on schedule, adjusting and revising plans as circumstances necessitate to keep projects on track for their commissioning dates.

This is generally a balancing act and subject to many revisions.

Working with the CFO, Controller, and the Manager Materials and Logistics, assist in determining how and when materials will be purchased,
how and where components will be delivered and stored pending their use, all with the objective of optimizing inventory usage by managing just-in-time objectives.

The material planner must ensure adequate supplies without overbuying or wasting resources.

Will provide financial forecasts consisting of metrics representing placement of PO commitments, materials deliveries, and cash flow. Needs to be adept at working both independently and as part of a team.

Must must be able to do own research and inventorying of materials.

Reporting to the CFO, and in close working relationship with the Controller/Cost develop actionable procurement plans.

Will initiate all purchase orders for the company from requisitions, approved BOMs, and instructions from the Manager Materials and Logistics and as approved by the CFO.

Assist in the sourcing and placement of purchase orders for all procured materials, supplies, components, subcontracting, and other services as needed to fulfill each project's construction and installation needs.

Will work closely with the Controller/Cost to maintain data base of costs by item, lead times, preferred vendor relations, and developing cost estimates for future projects.
