The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the first point of contact; you are the professional our members and providers engage with, answer questions related to the Medi-Cal programs for Orange County. You have the opportunity to resolves inquiries effectively. This position will provide information regarding eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and services to eligible members and providers. The typical day in the Call Center : Ability to thrive in a high-volume call center and effectively communicate both writing and verbally Assists Members with Web Portal registration Answer questions and concerns including enrollment, claims, benefit interpretation, and referrals, and authorizations for medical care Verify eligibility, and provide claims and authorization status Follow-up with members and providers Data entry, complete and correct entries please Route escalated calls to the appropriate Liaison, Supervisor, or Manager Adhere to the customer service principles and practices and company and departmental policies and procedures Job Requirements Experience & Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Bilingual: English/Spanish, English/Korean, English/Mandarin, English/ Vietnamese 6 months call center experience with high call volumes or customer service Knowledge of HMO, Medi-Cal/ Medicaid and health services experience preferred Additional Information This position is a 40 hours a week position, working Monday- Friday, times varying from 8:00am - 5:30 pm We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) We have great opportunities for high quality people like yourself.
