BOSTIK is hiring! We are currently looking for a 1st Shift Solvent Cement Operator for our Middleton facility. This is a permanent direct hire that is benefit eligible on day one.
The Solvent Cement Operator will be responsible and authorized to perform all operations associated with the manufacturing of Solvent Cements. They will work collaboratively with team members to produce a quality product in the most cost effective and timely manner possible without risk to the employee or the environment. Follows all Safety Guidelines and promotes a safe working environment at all times.
Follows written instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to manufacture quality solvent based adhesive products.
Works collaboratively with Solvent Adhesive Operators to insure a quality product is produced.
Performs preventive maintenance functions, approved by Maintenance Mgr. and Manufacturing Mgr., appropriate for an Operator.
Performs In-Process manufacturing laboratory testing to satisfy intermediate and finished product specification requirements.
Responsible for accurate Batch Sheet reporting, documentation, and retain sample collection.
Follows proper procedures for the Handling, Packaging, Labeling, Storage and Transfer of hazardous waste.
Loads and Operates Solvent Cement Churns.
Off Loads, Packages, and Labels Solvent Cement Churm production.
Produces Finish Product Labels, Bar Code Labels, and any required Customer Specific Labels.
Proficient at operating a Fork Truck, as well as all other departmental material handling equipment. This is to include a Bostik approved Fork Truck License, and completes all required Fork Truck Inspections.
Completes Daily Fork Truck Log prior to each shift's use of that Fork Truck.
Maintains good Housekeeping practices at all times.
Assist with liquid re-pouring as needed.
Assist in updating documentation as requested.
Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Higher education preferred.
Experience:
Preferred individual to be familiar with manufacturing operations.
Demonstrates safe work practices, mechanical skills, and leadership skills.
Capable of fostering a positive working atmosphere through teamwork and cooperation.
