The Human Resources Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant will take ownership for many aspects of human resources, including recruiting, benefits administration, and training.
When HR work is slow, the HR Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will assist the President and Senior Manager with proposals and MS PowerPoint presentations.
Specific HR responsibilities include: Full life-cycle recruiting for both salaried and part-time hourly employees Benefits administration, including medical, dental, short/long term disability and life insurance, and 401(k) Research and implement part-time employee incentives and benefit plans to stay competitive with call center recruitment and retention Manage unemployment claim process and promptly protest fraudulent claims to reduce company experience factor Develop job descriptions, career paths and provide guidance regarding career progression Develop and conduct training programs (HR Manager only) and coordinate with vendors Initiate and maintain exit interview process, including gathering information to improve future employee satisfaction, checklist of needs from exiting employee, and processing of termination letters and severance packages Manage employee relations issues such as employee feedback and complaints, harassment allegations, and performance issues Conduct new hire orientation and coordinate departmental training Specific Administrative responsibilities include: Prepare draft letters, memorandums, reports and forms for team members to review and approve Assist with project-related tasks, proposal, or reports Draft or edit MS PowerPoint presentations for meetings, spreadsheets using Microsoft Office Perform special projects as assigned To succeed in this role, you need: Minimum Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management preferred 2-3 years' experience in the human resources field and/or functioning in administrative role, preferably for a professional service firm Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal direction A good motivator, able to pull a team of people together to work collaboratively in the client's interest Excellent communication with strong written, verbal and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Flexible to changing priorities and urgent internal client needs High integrity with strong ethics and business values Top-notch organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail, while looking at the big picture This is a mid-level position reporting to the President, and offers a competitive salary and performance-based incentives plus a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
