Provides first aid and nursing supervision to meet ongoing and emergency needs of participants. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulatory guidelines, including Medicaid, Licensure, CARF as well as other funding sources and company policy/procedure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These five duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Review quality assurance regarding accurate medication transcription, and complete all follow up recordkeeping, in accordance with the state of Virginia Board of Nursing Regulations Administer all prescribed medication/s, in accordance with the state of Virginia Board of Nursing Regulations Access health care needs and physician's orders, and develop applicable written nursing procedures and protocols as needed, as a part of the individual support plan Implement nursing procedures and protocols as needed Serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, including new referrals, as assigned. Communicate with physicians, local health centers, family members, authorized representatives, guardians, residential providers, and Support Coordinators in an effort to assure a coordinated system of health care services. Provide in service training and consultation for employees, therapists and caregivers as needed Additional Duties and Responsibilities Provides in-service training and consultation for employees and family members as needed Communicates with area physicians, local health centers, and other service providers to assure a coordinated system of medical services Promotes community awareness of Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities Other related duties as assigned Safety and Health Responsibilities
