The Kolanus lab at the Life & Medical Sciences Institute (Molecular Immune- and Cell Biology), University of Bonn, has an opening for 1 Postdoc position (TVL13). Activities and responsibilities The candidate will work on fundamental pathways of mRNA and microRNA expression, in the control of cell proliferation/cell differentiation decisions in neural and cancer stem cells via RNA-binding proteins (Example references are given below).
Our lab is integrated into several DFG research initiatives in Bonn and Prof. Kolanus is member of the Cluster of Excellence „ImmunoSensation2". The LIMES institute represents a high-profiled research institute, harboring a large SPF animal facility, and further offers a wide spectrum of state-of-the art experimental systems to be applied for modern biomedical research.
Applicants should have an outstanding degree and - desirably - a track record in mouse developmental biology, developmental neurobiology or cancer biology. Consequently, very solid expertise with in vivo mouse models would be a strong asset. Two letters of reference are required.
