This position is responsible for providing systems-related support for the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) / Smart Factory Environment and its primary users. Support will include: training development, user training, data administration, on-going system development and planning. This role will have ownership for these systems within the Avionics business unit and will require regular interaction with users of the system through site leaders.
•Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring services to all primary users of the CIM System. Facilitate system reports and analyses.
•Plan and present programs on functionality and use of the CIM System and associated procedures.
•Facilitate the effective resolution of CIM System usage, testing, and defects.
•Identify shortcomings and propose enhancements, which will increase the CIM System and Smart Factory effectiveness. This should include technology additions and business case development to support.
•Prepare, edit and maintain CIM System related procedures (includes Help information and training material).
•Provide login and user creation, maintenance and deletion per corporate policies.
•Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with corporate, local and departmental policies and procedures.
•Assist with global manufacturing data input and maintenance as appropriate and needed.
Knowledge and Skills
•Possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
•Strong personal computer skills, must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows © [and file management], Microsoft Word © , Excel © and CorelDRAW © graphics. Desirable to have data structure knowledge (relational database skills, e.g. SQL script).
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
•Initiative, ability and follow-through to work independently on non-standardized tasks.
•Strong understanding of Manufacturing processes and concepts
•Ability to interpret Engineering design drawings
•SAP experience, particularly Manufacturing Master Data, e.g. Material Master, Routes, Bills of Material
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
