We are currently seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer to join our dynamic team! This position is responsible for leading and enhancing fundraising activities at a nationally recognized women's and infants' health system located in Baton Rouge, LA. He/she will foster a culture of philanthropy with stakeholders within the organization, in the community, statewide and nationally. Duties include development and implementation of a strategic plan for fundraising campaigns, planned giving, endowment, special events, capital development, annual giving, workplace giving and major gifts. As the president of a foundation, he/she will cultivate and maintain strong community relationships by networking and attending social and business events, frequently occurring after business hours. This position supervises the Manager of Volunteer Services and a five person development staff. The leader works closely with the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Woman's and reports to the President/CEO of the health system. The compensation package is competitive and includes base salary, bonus opportunity and excellent benefits. A Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred. CFRE certification preferred. Must have ten years of senior management experience in fundraising/development. Experience in healthcare fund-raising preferred. Extensive experience working with an engaged board and volunteers is a minimum requirement for the position. The successful candidate must have a strong record of effective fund-raising and broad-based knowledge of philanthropic programs. Strong management and leadership skills, as well as the ability to forge strong interpersonal relationships with community leaders, hospital leadership, donors, and individuals are also required.
