WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week and part-time or job sharing posts available
We're seeking to recruit some great new support workers; people with the right values to
work in our Community for adults with learning disabilities; most important is a caring
attitude and a genuine interest in people - could this be you?
We are working with a charity who provides unique person centred support, based on a modern view of the charities movement. The service is for adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.
You will support the residents in all aspects of their daily lives, and believe that each person should be valued for their contribution to the community. Support workers play a key role in enabling people to try to achieve their goals and aspirations through person centred support plans and their ongoing development.
The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. However, as a general guide, duties may include some support with personal care needs and medication as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support residents' health and wellbeing such as cooking, arts and crafts, watching the footie, musical events, shopping trips and social occasions.
Key experience essential for the role of the Support Worker:-
Live within a commutable distance to Milton Keynes
Willing to complete a DBS check at employment stage
Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Health and Social Care would be desirable or life experience and transferable skills, as a full induction plus all the training will be provided.
