Job purpose: In this role you will be a thought leader in Analytics and Data Science, with significant experience across multiple industries. Proven track record of evangelizing analytical approaches to decision making across the enterprise at the global level and creating quantified impact through setting up industrial-scale analytical systems. Will devise strategy and roadmap, shape a culture of innovation and build high performance team for the Data Science and AI. Contribute to the development of overall strategy for Data Science team, to align with Data & Digital strategy for Novartis. Devise and drive innovation initiatives across Novartis BUs driving top and bottom line impact. Contribute to the development of Novartis data science capabilities. Evangelize the use of analytical decision-making across Novartis leadership in research, development, commercial, manufacturing and support functions. Lead recognition of Novartis as a leader in the field of AI/ML and advanced analytics. Key Responsibilities : Operations and Program Leadership • Deliver key initiative from ideation to ready for application across the organization stage. Responsible for end-to-end project management of key initiatives • Works closely with the end-user and key stakeholders to ensure the outcomes meet the user's needs effectively • Ensure saving or business impact are closely monitored and effectively identified • Ensure effective portfolio and project management to enable timely and high quality deliverable. Responsible for end-to-end project management of key initiatives • Effectively work through organizational matrix to ensure agile implementation of initiatives. Use direct and/or indirect influence to achieve initiative targets • Collaborate with the digital and advanced analytics teams across divisions to ensure alignment of strategy and use of data assets • Lead development and maintenance of consistent documentation to ensure easy scale-up and implementation across all divisions and user groups Execution • Understand the current process followed by user groups, work with the user groups to identify opportunities and convert the same to advanced analytics problems, such that the data scientist can understand it effectively • Work closely with the data science teams to identify and determine key data source, tools and service provider (if needed) for successful implementation of the key initiatives • Work with senior-stakeholders and end-users across the lifecycle of key projects from ideation to planning to execution to industrialization • Work closely with the data science teams to identify the right approach and tools Communication • Continuously champion for the application of data driven decision making across the organization • Tell a concise story that engages the business user on the effectiveness of data driven decision-making and of executed projects • Work closely with the data science teams to presents analytical content concisely and effectively to non-technical audiences and influences business leaders to drive major strategic decisions basis analytical inputs • Actively work with key stakeholders to understand needs and drive acceptance and use of solutions Strategy and Plan • Develop and lead the implementation of the key initiatives identified as part of Novartis advanced analytics strategy About Novartis: About the Novartis Global Service Centre in Dublin: The Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge.
