Working Housekeeping Supervisor - 30+ hours per week

Due to continued growth, we now have an opening for an experienced Working Housekeeping Supervisor for our Housekeeping / Accommodation department. Working Housekeeping Supervisors lead by example and act as both a leader and mentor to the team. You will also be capable of driving standards whilst always delivering an excellent Guest experience.

NB. Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 30+ hours per week.

The role:

Organising housekeeping work at the start of each shift; cleaning minimum of 6 departure rooms; supervisor duties in the afternoon

•Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all rooms and apartments, seating areas, washrooms, and all public spaces,

•Planning, organizing and directing employees to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction,; conduct daily room inspections to monitor performance

•Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory,

•Help in recruiting, scheduling and training of all new housekeeping employees,

•Maintain the housekeeping budget, weekly stock takes,

•Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct,

•Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment,

•Occasionally work in other properties to make sure that standards are maintained within guidelines set,

•To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay,

•To ensure good working relationships with colleagues and management,

•To be fully aware of and strictly adhere to Health & Safety, fire and security procedures,

•To participate with training and coaching of team members as required,

•To deal effectively with all queries relating to your shift as required,

•To attend training when required,


Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in hotel, leisure or retail Accommodation/Housekeeping
  • A people person and an excellent communicator - Strong understanding and working knowledge of people management and team building is essential
  • High level of commercial awareness and standards that need to be met
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure with the flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
