As an E&I Engineer you are part of a multidisciplinary project team. Within this project team you are responsible for the field of electricity and instrumentation, and this from design to commissioning and advising your colleagues. You will get the unique opportunity to develop the Electrical & Instrumentation domain within the project team, as this is a new position in the team.You contribute to small and larger engineering assignments and this for a wide range of customers and industries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design electrical and instrumentation drawings that integrate into the complete analyzer projects; aligning on dependencies, deliverables, scope, schedule. Work closely with project, software, sales, service & construction engineers to design, implement, test, and verify solutions meet requirements. Design and analyze electrical circuits to achieve functional, reliability/quality, and manufacturability requirements. Design and analyze the electrical part of the project and preparing the drawings of electrical circuits including small sized UPS & NON-UPS power distribution boards and instrumentation drawings with Analog, Digital, Interfaces/Busses, Processors, Microcontrollers, Mixed signal, etc. Using the P&ID of the installation as your starting point, you design the information exchange with the instrumentation and other hardware components and provide control of the valves and other equipment. Every design is customer specific, but work as much as possible from a cleverly designed standard design. For each project, the design is configured and adapted to the specific customer requirements. You play an important role in drafting and presenting continuous improvement proposals and optimizing this standard design. You have the ability to find the right balance between standardization and optimization. Support manufacturing in building the analyzer systems. Assist with (IO-)test and debug circuits and systems. Attend Design Review Meetings with other engineers in the project teams. Share knowledge with and educating colleagues. Provide advice in the field of electrical engineering and support the Sales and Service & Support teams in subject-related matters. Explore new techniques in the field of electrical engineering and low-voltage installations, following evolutions in standards and guidelines and adept new rules and regulations. Occasionally perform service assignments at customer sites worldwide. Other duties as assigned.
