TRON gGmbH - Translational Oncology at the Medical Center of the University Mainz - is a growing biopharmaceutical non-profit organization with the goal to develop highly innovative technologies to address medical needs in the field of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. TRON was founded in 2010, and is located in Mainz, Germany. TRON works in close cooperation with universities and clinics as well as with regional, national and international research institutions and companies in the pharmaceutical industry.
The TRON team of scientists has a proven track record in renowned journals and has also published a series of its findings in Nature for the last three years running (2017, 2016, 2015).
As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues, to develop and expand your career and to be at the cutting-edge of translational science to improve patients' lives.
TRON is expanding its multidisciplinary Next Generation Sequencing Unit to cope with the growing demand for higher throughput, faster sample processing and deeper insight into heterogeneity of tumors and its interplay with the immune system. Besides "conventional sequencing" on our Illumina platforms (MiSeq, HiSeq 2500, NovaSeq 6000) we want to expand our expertise on 3rd generation sequencing technologies (MinION, Oxford Nanopore) as well as droplet- (Chromium, 10x Genomics) or microfluidicsbased library preparation for single cell sequencing and linked reads. For this purpose we are searching for an
