Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator

Your Accountabilities in the Role •Develop and maintain programs to ensure environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance at the site as part of a zero-incident mindset. •Interact employees and all levels of management to identify EHS issues, develop recommendations, and pursue opportunities to foster continuous improvement of EHS programs and culture. •Support environmental reporting requirements including Air, Waste, and Water Permitting compliance. •Schedule and conduct EHS training to existing employees, new hires and visitors. •Coordinate the monthly Safety Committee meetings and following up with the findings to make sure that corrections have been made. •Coordinate annual hearing tests. •Coordinate annual first-aid/CPR training. •Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as necessary. •Disperse PPE to employees and manage inventory levels by re-ordering when supplies are low. •Provide corporate office with periodic updates on the status of EHS incidents, OSHA incident rates and the performance of new EHS initiatives. . Requirements:
•Education: High school diploma or GED required.
•Experience: 1-3 years experience in EHS/Safety role.
•Functional Skills: General administrative experience with the ability to consistently produce accurate work under fluctuating schedules and priorities.
•Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
•Language Skills: Read, write and speak English at an advanced level. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers and subordinates.
