About the role
Babcock International have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join the Facilities Engineering Programme Management Office (PMO) team.
This is an exciting opportunity to progress and develop your career, working as part of a growing team and play a key role in the delivery, planning and management of Defence Design and Safety Engineering projects of varied complexity, size and value.
You will undertake project control activities, scheduling and Earned Value Analysis, you will produce project progress reports, forecasts and dashboards, change management and database management.
Using your expertise and knowledge you will provide an interface with our internal customers within Devonport Royal Dockyard and design/safety engineering teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all projects.
The anticipated salary for this role will be from £35460 to £40000 per annum, dependent on experience.
You will hold a HNC or HND or equivalent in a STEM-related subject with experience working within an engineering environment. A recognised Project Management Qualification such as APM or Prince 2 would be advantageous.
You will have a demonstrable track record and experience of Primavera P6 evidenced with extensive experience of planning, data control, data management, performance management and analysis of the project plan.
You will be highly IT literate with advanced experience in the use of excel, data manipulation, reporting and the creation of dashboards.
You will be adept in communicating with key stakeholders, have a good working knowledge of project controls and project management principles and hold previous line management experience.
