Our Clients are an innovative and forward thinking global automotive plastics company with an envious client list of both mass production and luxury vehicles.
They have realistic workload expectations and are looking to upsize their current Maintenance Engineer workforce in order to relieve the existing workload and ensure manageable day to day maintenance activities.
Their ideal Electrical Maintenance engineer is forward thinking, analytical and possess the ability to meticulously find and fix any potential problems. The ability to work as part of a team but also be independent when necessary is highly desirable. Being communicative, safety conscious and reliable will be the skills that set you out as a successful and vital component to the day to day running of operations.
They DAYS ONLY shift pattern will see the Electrical Maintenance Engineer earning a salary of £32,000 per annum + overtime (plenty available if wanted)
Minimum of ONC or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Time-served electrical apprenticeship experience in an industrial environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good numerical and literacy skills.
The main objective of the role is to ensure that all equipment, systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, safely and provide good plant reliability.
Investigate all electrical plant and machinery breakdowns, and mechanical plant and machinery breakdowns where necessary/as required, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
Investigate failures in services, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
Carry out project/modification work when necessary.
Ensure all plant/machinery records are kept up to date.
Ensure all engineering measures are carried out and recorded.
Competently read and use electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to diagnose faults.
Competent in the use of Programmable Logic Controllers.
Planned preventative maintenance.
Any other typical Electrical Maintenance Engineer day to day jobs.
Package & working hours
Paid overtime (plenty available)
0800hrs – 1700hrs
