An exciting opportunity for an electrical / electronic biased Field Service Engineer has become available with my client due to continued growth. They are a leading service provider of calibration, instrumentation and laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will be educated to HNC level or equivalent in an electrical or electronic discipline and have proven service, calibration and repair experience on laboratory or associated equipment. This is a hands-on role that will suit a motivated self-starter with excellent engineering, organisational and time management skills.

Field Service Engineer (Instrumentation) role:

Should you be successful at interview stage you will be responsible for the following:

Laboratory equipment service and calibration where required

Instrumentation calibration and fault finding of various process equipment.

Maintenance, calibration, fault finding and repair of various types of laboratory equipment.

Provide technical support in line with experience and qualifications

Provide documentation as defined in the Companies Quality Procedure.

Convey at all times, a professional, positive and customer driven image of my client’s business values.

Liaise between client and customer

Develop and maintain an effective knowledge of current working regulations.

Training to various UKAS accreditations will be supplied

Field Service Engineer (Instrumentation) requirement:

Qualified to ideally HNC level in an electrical or electronic discipline

Highly skilled with practical fault finding and repair on a varied range of non-specialised laboratory equipment e.g. centrifuges, incubators, fume hoods

Electrically competent. (240Vac)

Competent with instrumentation calibrations such as pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity etc.

Hold a current clean driving license.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

PC literate on Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work unsupervised as well as within a team.

Ability to manage and plan own workload.

Field Service Engineer (Instrumentation) package:

Salary £26k - £30k basic + + overtime, travel time and overnight allowances £35k - £37k.
