Day Rate: Negotiable (dependent upon experience)
Duration: 12 months
My client is currently looking to employ a Senior EC&I Engineer and a Senior EC&I Engineer (with Safety Systems experience) to work on a long-term contract basis on a major nuclear project.
You will safely design and deliver the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants.
The work will be carried out in line with the Employer's needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
The project is executed from a number of locations. Liaison will be required with all the Project team members in the offices in Stockton-On-Tees, Birchwood, Westlakes and Chorley.
The Senior EC&I Engineer
Report to the Area Lead Engineer
Responsible for delivery of EC&I design & engineering for area systems
Responsible for production of design documentation as well as checking the work of other engineers & designersDesired Qualifications:
Degree qualified or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge & understanding
Minimum 5 years' experience of working within a highly regulated industry
Detailed CE&I design of mechanical handling plant and equipment
Design of PLC based control systems (SIDD, CONCISE knowledge is preferred)
Supply chain (Vendor) support
Experience within the Nuclear sector
Competent with Microsoft Office software
Familiar with software used by the C, E & I discipline (including AMTECH)The Senior EC&I Engineer (with Safety Systems experience)
Report to Area Discipline Lead Engineer
To originate EC&I Designs to ES_1_2190 including production of Design Justification Reports (DJRs)
To review EC&I Designs to ES_1_2190 including checking of Design Justification Reports (DJRs) produced by others
Liaise, during the production of the designs, with the Substantiation Team and Area Teams
Present designs including DJRs, typically at review meetings, as part of the review and approval process for the safety system design
Work to programme, budget and in compliance with the Quality Management SystemDesired Qualifications:
Experience of safety system design in accordance with ES_1_2190
