Technical Support Engineer

Salary £32,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience

Hours 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Our client is a world leading company for machine tools, laser technology and electronics. We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join the team in Luton.

Within this position you will be responsible in facilitating customer and sales support and providing technical customer training across the product portfolio (this will include machine and software demonstrations etc).

Responsibilities - Technical Support Engineer

Produce effective Time Studies

Customer consultation including machine and software demonstrations

Perform customer training courses on their primary product range

Tooling Sales support

Ensure the showroom machines are prepared and the areas are ready for demonstrations or training

Clear and concise logging of customer issues via SIS

Onsite or at company HQ consultations for improved customer efficiencies within the product range

Machine support for customers including support for customer requests

Assisting with installation or knowledge issues

Maintain showroom floor to look clean, tidy and functional

Support Internal Training/Sales Staff with sales support

Exhibit and maintain a good working atmosphere and relationship with the colleagues within and across the department for an improved working team

Accurately enter data into the internal call logging system (SIS)

Skills / Experience

Experience in delivering demonstrations

Good presentation, communication and decision-making skills

Competent in being proactive and reactive with customers

Positive and calm during difficult situations with internal and external customers

Effective planning abilities

Customer integrity to be maintained at all times

Knowledge of IT Systems including networking

Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
