We are looking for a proactive Desktop Support person to join our client. You will be a part of the team who will be setting up this brand new office. You will have a greenfield project and be a part of the team to help rack servers, put in the network, cabling, moving desks and having a hand in every aspect of getting the office to open. This is a great opportnity to broaden your skill sets and be part of this team from day 1.
You will spend your days after this initial project; walking the floor, building relationships with the team and being valued as such. You will be proactively picking up issues, providing fixes to your fellow employees, and becoming the friendly face of IT for this global company. Communication is key and you must be confident talking to your co-workers to give updates on the problems and give accurate information in a non-technical way to ensure they are kept updated with your progress.
Your mind-set is the most important skill and we are looking for someone who is attentive and happy to work individually as well as part of a team to manage your workloads and look to become involved in the larger business projects where possible.
To be successful you should have:
·Strong experience in Windows desktop support
·Excellent communication skills
·Proactive and attentive problem solving skills
·Working knowledge of networking and server troubleshooting
