Health and Safety Manager

As their SHEQ Manager you will be visiting sites throughout the London area, assessing and auditing all activities of their jointing and civils teams, working closely with clients' and suppliers' HSE representatives and staff, demonstrating both commitment to high-standards of HSE and customer service, in terms of communication, co-ordination and service delivery.
Detailed knowledge and experience within the Health & Safety sector, ideally within the Utilities infrastructure sector is important. You will need to be certified in first aid, manual handling, health and safety awareness and NEBOSH. You will also need a full driving license.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of the client and its customers
Ensure sites are clean and free from any potential risks.
Ensure all sub-contracts are approved in line with business policies.
Manage accreditations held or being applied for across the business (UKAS ISO.SSIP, NERS)
Ensure projects are undertaken in accordance with all current legislation.
Identify and inform the Company of commercial opportunities as appropriate.
Review and monitor Health & Safety programs.
Visit sites regularly and hold site audits.
Hold monthly briefing to all staff to ensure staff are aware of new legislation and know their responsibilities.
Hold Toolbox talks monthly to staff and contractors regarding relevant issues.
Play a major part in implementing a safety first always culture and play a major role in presenting new methods and safety procedures to the company
