I'm looking to speak with an experienced environmental compliance professional with strong auditing capability for major projects within nuclear, explosive, chemical or other highly regulated fields for significant scale facilities. With the primary focus of your role being to lead the development and You will have responsibility across a range of the following accountabilities:
Coordinating the delivery of and leading audits within the agreed environmental audit programme
Collaborating with stakeholders to gain agreement to audit findings and follow-up audit issues and actions
Provision of a monthly performance/delivery report to the Head of Environment on the environmental audit programme and close-out of follow-up issues and actions
Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and seek approval for the annual environmental audit programme
Developing and proactively managing the interface/relationship with all internal and external regulators/stakeholders
Providing training, mentoring and/or coaching to other ISO14001 accredited auditors, as required
A subject matter expert in environmental compliance relating to radiological, explosive, chemical or other high hazard facilities in highly regulated industries throughout the lifecycle of projects from concept to decommissioning, you will have demonstrable experience of developing and managing complex Environmental Management Systems and securing buy in from all relevant stakeholders.
You will hold:
Degree level qualification or applicable experience
Certified ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
Membership of IEMA / CIWEM / CIWM / CIEEM or other appropriate Institute
Chartered or Certified Member of the IIA
Eligibility for DV (Developed Vetting) level security clearance
