Job Title: Operations Manager

Stevenage

Salary: £55K-£60K

An excellent new opportunity to work with one of the largest real estate & Facilities management organisations in the world on one of their new & challenging contracts – a genuine opportunity to ‘make a difference'

The Operations Manager will be accountable for the efficient operation of the building services and process safety systems across the Stevenage site including the liaison with client duty holders to ensure statutory and procedural compliance and site wide operational controls, setting the standard. You will lead a team of Subject matter experts (SMEs) and Capital Project Coordinators (CPC) to develop a centre of engineering excellence that will ensure that the maintenance programs are continually improved, and the infrastructure and process systems are operated, repaired, changed, installed, handed over to the benefit of their customer.

DUTIES

The Operations Manager will:

Leadership -

Be the Site Lead's recognised deputy and undertake full Site Lead responsibilities in their absence.

Risk & Mitigation

Conduct after action reviews (AARs) and Route Cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues, form hypotheses, conduct analysis, design operational solutions and implement.

Oversight and controls

Oversee implementation and provide ongoing governance to client, leading investigation in to any Service Level Failures or discrepancies.

Site wide procedural ownership and continuous improvement

Oversee and provide ongoing governance to the operational team training requirements to maintain operational compliance.

Project & Capital work co ordination -

Ensue your CPCs are feedback project oversight back into the clients team and engage with SME and team leaders for expertise.

Commercial

Assist in the management of a budget and aide in analysis of variations and action planning.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Engineering qualified to HNC level or Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical engaging and held SAP status

Experience in PSSR, electrical distribution systems and process safety.

Stakeholders management in a service provider industry is essential

Project management and/or planning and coordination background is crucial.

Experience of managing contracts and ensuring governance, writing and operating to processes and procedures

Industry expertise such as Critical Environments and/or Pharma, valued and preferred.

Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.

Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic.

Ability to build and develop successful long-term relationships with clients, and other teams.

Ability to work independently under own initiative with minimal supervision.

Excellent task management skills, results orientated with a strong work ethic, and demonstrated attention to detail.

Must be flexible and friendly under pressure.

Excellent Problem-solving Skills.

Commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation.
