Department Overview

The primary objective of the department is to provide an added value service to our ideal customer to attract and retain sustainable and profitable growth through the engineering service

Associate Purpose

Perform the duties of the role, delivering upon accountabilities to achieve goals, deadlines and targets

Continually deliver excellent customer service through day-to-day activity

Operate cross-functionally as a member of the team

Operate consistently and respectfully in line with our mission, values and pledge understanding the business and how it is aligned to the strategy

Role Purpose

Provide onsite technical support advising customers of the right tool for the right job

Analysing customer processes to propose solutions driving both hard and soft savings

Deliver cost savings in line with contractual obligations to customers to fuel their potential

New tooling projects/tool sourcing recommendations

Target cost savings to customers in our National Accounts programme, and those customers with commercial opportunities (on request)

Product rationalisation

Presenting recommendations to customers showcasing ideas through to execution

Perform the duties of the role, ensuring deadlines and targets are met

Associate Competencies

Cutting tool and industry knowledge

CNC programming / programme editing a must

CAD/CAM capabilities advantageous (Powermill, SolidCam, AlphaCam)

Be competent to run tooling trials on site and able to understand NC code

Planning and organising own project activities in line with the company’s objectives.

Knowledge of machining and industrial practices

Relevant engineering qualification

Problem solving skills

Team player

Time management and organisation

Written and oral communication skills

Computer skills

Commitment and drive to succeed

Must be willing to work away from home when required
