My client is going through amazing growth and looking to develop and strengthen the Finance team, with this in mind they are looking to recruit a Finance Office Supervisor.

The role requires a good technical understanding of basic accounting principles, good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. You must have supervised or managed a team previously, have excellent problem/communication skills and be organised.

In this role you will support the Finance Manager and assume day to day supervision of the finance assistants, ensuring the day to day functions of the office run effectively and efficiently.

The role is hands on with involvement in all duties and tasks completed within the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day operations within the Finance Office.

Supervision of four members of our Finance Team.

Point of contact for queries entering the Finance office and, if required, the allocation of these to the appropriate team member.

Assisting with month end and year end processes.

Prepayments and Accruals

Departmental analysis reports.

Being a hands-on role, the successful candidate will also be involved in day-to-day operations of the Finance Team: -

Cash counting, Banking, and production/allocation of daily cash-up reports.

Bank account reconciliations.

Petty Cash.

Allocation of monies received to customer accounts.

Customer account queries.

Supplier BACS run and staff expenses payments.

Candidate Requirements

AAT Level 4, although consideration will be given to QBE

Advanced experience on computerised finance systems is a requirement.

Working knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous.

Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Highly motivated self-starter and team leader with demonstrable initiative.

Proven experience within a similar role.

Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and that of the team.
