Our client is an eProcurement solution company, who simplify businesses procurement process through effective automation. They help many of the world's largest companies to control their indirect expenditure such as marketing & operational print, promotional products, uniforms & apparel, packaging, IT & consumables and related services. Their integrated cloud based spend management platform enables customers to gain granular visibility and control of every transaction, globally and in real time. Over 70 countries rely on their platform to deliver significant and sustainable savings.

Due to continued expansion, they have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, experienced and results-driven candidate to join their sales team, as the Business Development Manager covering UK and Northern Europe.

Candidate Requirements:

Degree level in Business, Administration, Economics, IT, or related field preferred

Driven individual with a proven track record of a minimum 5 years closing deals in the Procurement/S2P/P2P software market

Experience of transversal and hierarchical management

Experience in selling SaaS procurement solutions to SME and large organisations

Understand buying process in SME and large accounts and experience in navigating the decision maker network to close business

Must have excellent presentation, writing and communications skills

Experience selling to the CPO, CFO (or CIO, COO) buying centre, ideally within print or promo marketing categories

Willingness to travel - depending on assigned territory (UK, Europe, US, Australia and Asia)

Ability to identify business problems and how technology and services solutions can be offered to resolve problems - acting as a solution architectThe Role:

Develop sales territories and pipeline

Own entire sales process from prospecting to demonstrations to closing business

Presenting proposals to industry evangelists, prospects and clients

Collaborate with other teams including presales, product development operations, finance and legal

Travel throughout sales territory and further afield if required

Build, nurture and execute pipeline in collaboration with marketing, partners and business development representatives to drive bookings within territory

Attend conferences and industry related events within assigned territory and as requested

Prepare for meetings and tailor communications and presentations to address the business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales process
