Position: Coffee Sales Manager
Location: Field based, covering West Midlands and South West England (with occasional travel throughout the UK and ROI).
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week
Salary: £28k to £32k dependant on experiences
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen within the Mathew Algie Sales team for an experienced sales person to work within our Independents sales team covering West Midlands & South-West England. Personally managing a geographic area of selected customers, you will be required to make a minimum daily target of site visits to grow your territory sales along with meeting customers’ training needs. You will be required to offer coaching and training support and help drive standards and quality to improve results and sales.
There will be regular sales calls to existing customers to promote and increase the sales of Matthew Algie and EW products and services along with implementing Super 6 promotions to customers and increase their distribution.
You will need to create growth action plans for key customers to explore further customer management efficiencies and comprehensively review every stocking opportunity across the territory ledger and implement stretching business development plans to capitalise on these. There will also be a requirement for creating bespoke proposals that match customer needs and explain the commercial benefit of trading with Matthew Algie (via email / PowerPoint / word and online tenders).
You will need to win new business on territory through prospecting of potential customers from cold calling and creating networking opportunities from prospect lists which will require you to be self-sufficient in generating sales leads.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have at least 2 years’ experience in a sales role that is focused on delivering excellent customer service and be able to demonstrate that you have achieved the sales targets that you were set. You will be working in a highly demanding, structured and fast paced environment; therefore, you must be able to demonstrate that you can work effectively and efficiently, can deal with pressure and can multi-task to achieve results to the required standards.
You will clearly be customer focused, possess excellent selling skills and can demonstrate an understanding of the sales process. You should be able to demonstrate strong influencing skills and have excellent interpersonal skills. Whilst experience of coffee and some training skills are desirable, they are not essential as full coffee training will be provided for the successful candidate.
This role also requires excellent numerical skills as well as planning and organisation skills. The role carries the need for a certain amount of administration and a good level of IT skills are a must (word / excel / PowerPoint).
