How can you get involved?
As a Business Intelligence/Management Information (BI/MI) Developer you will be part of a team of 6-8 developers responsible for development of the company's data solutions and reporting.
Who do you report into?
You will report into the Business Intelligence and MI Manager for Swinton. The team is part of the newly formed Data Development function which spans across the Atlanta group and sits within the Systems Delivery directorate, reporting into the Atlanta CIO.
What projects will you be working on?
The team provide reporting and analysis to all areas of the business so there is lots to get involved with. With a new SQL data warehouse in development and plans to move to an Azure cloud-based environment in the pipeline, you will get involved with requirements, testing, migration and redevelopment of existing processes and reporting to use the new environments. You will help the team to transform the way that reporting is done, delivering significant efficiency, consistency and accuracy improvements, whilst also ensuring that end users have access to the data they need.
What skills & experience do you require?
Experience as a BI/MI Developer
Experience developing and maintaining ETL & data management processes
Excellent Microsoft SQL Server (2014) and SSIS skills
Experience of a BI tool such as Tableau/Power BI/SSRS/Ateryx
IBM Cognos TM1
Experience of working with very large volumes of data
Collaborative (Knowledge Sharing) communication tools
Experience of Agile development methodologies
Pro-active and highly self-motivated with the proven ability to deliver requirements on time and to agreed standards
High degree of commercial/operational awareness of data and associated technologies in business.
Ability to deliver in a fast paced and demanding environment
Strong working knowledge of data protection regulations and data security.
