The development of suppliers to ensure contracts are supported through quality, and engineering and best practice activities
Support the Quality Manager in improving understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 across the Business.
Identify and understand Certification and welding coding from suppliers.
To understand and comply with Company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Liaise with departments to understand the process of engineering.
Support cost down activities through the supply chain.
Monitor and improve the supply base to achieve a right first time policy.
Maintain supplier SAP database with reports.
Aid manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of suppliers on new product development.
Support supplier performance improvement projects and drive Zero defect mentality in the supply chain.
Audit and assessment of supply chain to ensure current & future business needs are met.
Ensure product conformance and process controls within supply chain and the flow-down of business and customer quality requirements.
Resolution of quality concerns using 8D / 5 Why methodologies.
Record keeping of supplier approvals, audits and visits and monitoring of supplier performance against objectives.
To understand and read engineering drawings.
Confidence in speaking direct to customers internal & external/suppliers.
Proven track record of supplier development.
Visual inspection of welded components. Coding.
PC skills word, excel, report writing and use of SAP One Business Systems.
Knowledge of ISO and AQAP (NATO) procedures.
Knowledge of welding procedures and processes
