We are currently looking for Customer Service advisors to work at our Head office in Preston. No cold calling and no selling involved, and full training will be given to ensure you can help our customers, when they make an insurance claim. The ideal candidate will help us to deliver the best service, with the aim of first contact customer resolution.

Independent Inspections manages flooring and furniture claims for most of the UK’s leading insurance companies. The business is highly regarded for the service it provides to policyholders and our Customers Service advisors are the key difference between us and our competitors.

The Job

* Handle incoming customer call competently with a key emphasis on 1st call resolution and delighting the customer

* Be the voice of the company and instil confidence with the policyholder that we will sort out their works with the minimum of fuss.

* Contribute to company and client service level agreements, and delivering a positive customer journey

* Provide accurate, valid and complete information to customers by using the right methods/tools

* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, update customer records and general documentation

* Ensure commitments made to customers are followed up in a timely manner

* Take part in learning and development activities as required to develop personal & product knowledge and enhance skills

* Commitment to continuous development to improve our customers experience and journey

* Passionate about meeting customers’ expectations and delivering an outstanding customer experience

* A great communicator with excellent listening skills

The business hours are Mon- Fri, shifts between 8am and 8pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am to 1pm

Yes, no Sundays!

The shifts are anywhere from 16 to 45 hours per week (part or full time – you choose) and likewise the salary is between £16,090 for 37.5 hours through to £19,200 for 45 hours, part time being pro rata (£8.21 per hour)
