We are looking for a BI Developer who will report to and support the Java and Reporting Lead Developer to deliver the information the Staysure management team require to understand the business in a timely, accurate and easily digestible format using some of the latest BI tools.

Position: BI Developer

Location: Northampton

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,000 - £33,000 per annum

About the role:

As a business, Staysure are committed to giving our customers the products they need in an efficient and profitable manner. In order to deliver this the managers across the company require information to make better and more informed business decisions. This enables Staysure to identify new business opportunities, and spot inefficient business processes ripe for re-engineering and to optimise our cost base.

Reporting to the Java and Reporting Lead Developer, our BI Developer will be responsible for delivering the information the management team require to understand the business in a timely, accurate and easily digestible format using some of the latest BI tools.

You will be designing and developing data sources as relevant reports and analytics in line with customer requirements and in line with the business intelligence strategy. And the role will also involve working with key stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and solutions from the Project Team, Business Units through to Sponsor.

About you:

To be our next BI Developer you must be a technology enthusiast and must be eager to learn. We are looking for someone who can bring in new ideas and have creative approach to solving problems. You will need a good understanding of relational databases and writing complex SQL queries.

To be successful in the position you will have exceptional attention to detail, have a high level of competency in SQL and demonstrable expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

You will of course also have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will need to also have experience in the following:

- 2+ years of experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries is essential.

- Previously worked with a Business Intelligence tool.

- Ability to analyse data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.

- Excellent communication skills including the ability to identify, create and communicate data driven insights.

- Knowledge of data warehousing e.g., dimensional modelling and data mining.

- Working with multiple data sources.

- Ability and interest in managing and communicating Business Intelligence dashboard plans to internal clients.

- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.

- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.

- Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build data visualisation models and custom data apps (Desirable).

- Knowledge of PHP, Java (Desirable).
