Are you a Cyber Trainer looking for a new opportunity where you can grow within in a dynamic and creative team of professionals? Do you have hands on technical experience with Cyber Security tools? Have you led on Cyber Training and Exercising solutions?

Our client is looking for a Cyber and Intelligence Professional with a broad range of skills and experience to join a team to design, produce and deliver Cyber based training and exercising solutions. This work will directly support a range of MoD and Government customers by providing Training and Exercising Solutions for Cyberspace Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-moving area that is experiencing rapid growth.

You will be working in a fast paced IT project environment and will be exercising skills to design, develop and support Cyber training and exercising.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect technical networks for training scenarios in multiple synthetic environments to meet agreed training objective

Remaining concurrent with industry trends and security vulnerabilities

Lead on engagement activities with MoD & Government clients to develop Cyber Training and Exercising solutions

Design Cyber Exercise Schemas to meet Tactical and Operational Objectives in consultation with multiple clients

Develop Vignettes to complement Cyber Exercise Schemas to support Cyberspace Decision Makers at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels

Design Training and Exercising solutions to support existing and future Cyber Operational Concepts

Deliver Cyber Training and Exercise solutions to MoD & Government Clients at sites across the UK and Overseas

Provide Cyber Operations consultation services to MoD & Government clients as required

Perform Liaison duties with Industry to develop Cyber Training and Exercising Capability on behalf of MoD & Government clients

Perform Liaison duties with Coalition and Partner Organisations to develop existing Cyber Operational Concepts

Deliver training scenarios and supporting materials for various Cyber exercises, table top exercisers and matrix games

Essential Skills & Experience:

Practical experience with cyber security tools and technologies

Familiarisation with National Institute of Standards & technology (NIST) / Ethical Hacking concepts

Experience serving on a cyber security team

Experience in penetration testing tools and techniques

Desired Skills & Experience:

Familiarisation with coding / scripting concepts

Working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, risk identification, prioritization, and remediation techniques

Familiarisation with concepts such has Virtual Engine management simulator (VEMs), vApps, Salt orchestration

Basic understanding of software development best practises and how to apply them

Knowledge of Git and/or experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or other similar programs to track tasks and manage code

Experience of large scale, complex exercise and training event needs

Can collaborate across a wide range group of stakeholders and secure commitment to delivery

Has designed missions in synthetic environments before

Understands and can evidence experience of table top exercises and matrix games

Can seize initiative, highlight and develop quick win opportunities

BS in STEM with 5+ years of experience or equivalent
