Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Programmes Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures' busy Teaching and Learning Team. Under the guidance of their manager, the role of the PGT Programmes Administrator will be to provide dedicated professional administrative support to students registered on certain named PGT taught degree programmes including programmes within the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (although this may be subject to change). You will work as one of a team in the PGT Taught office, in liaison and consultation with the Director of Teaching, Learning and Students, the relevant Programme Directors and the Teaching and Learning team, supporting and/or leading on specific PGT activity areas.
You should have experience of working within Higher Education and have excellent IT skills. This is a key role within postgraduate services that requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, excellent customer services skills and ability to problem solve. You will be expected to show flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the School. A proactive and professional approach is important, as is an ability to establish a good rapport with both staff and students within and outside the School.
The post is full time for 1 year in the first instance and provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and develop your ability as an administrator.
