  • Continuous improvement of the Safety performances of our sites in Divisions and countries
  • Developing policies, standards and guidelines in the field of Occupational Safety
  • Steering, supporting and monitoring of all Safety related issues worldwide
  • Providing guidance and expertise to divisional and country responsibles (2nd level helpdesk worldwide)
  • Benchmarking, knowledge and best practice sharing within the CF tasks
  • Identifying, assessing and managing Safety related risks and hazards
  • Analysis of legal developments, trends and customer requirement/s and proactive integration in our processes and in our Management System
  • Initiating, steering or monitoring of strategic projects and implementing marketing strategies
  • Contribute to further development of Continentals High Performance Culture in terms of Safety and Health (We go for Zero, Safety First Culture, Healthy to the Core, ...)
  • Implementing marketing strategies
  • Regular reporting of the achievement of goals to the top management
  • Representing the interests of the Group in the area of Occupational Safety in political and legal matters, in legislative projects and international standardization procedures through active participation in associations and corresponding bodies
  • Anticipate future legal developments, trends or customer requirements for Occupational Safety
  • Determination of benchmarks in the area of Occupational Safety


  • Academic degree in a technical field, Safety area or comparable experience
  • Long-term experience in occupational safety or comparable
  • Leadership experience in leading intercultural and diverse teams in an environment of a matrix organization
  • Substantial experience working with Top Management
  • Demonstrated project management skills and varied successful experience
  • Fluent in German and English both spoken and written
  • Strong in customer orientation and proven skills in establishing strategic direction by considering the big picture
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
