Financial Planning and Budgeting Expert (f/m/d)

In this new role the successful candidate will be an integral member of our Finance Team tasked with a variety of planning duties to support and drive corporate budgeting and planning processes. The position holder will be responsible for any G&A budgeting and planning processes and will act as controlling support for our departments and our Czech subsidiary, assisting also corporate financing activities. In this position you will report to the Head of Finance.

  • Plan and coordinate regular corporate budgeting processes (annual budgeting processes, budget update processes, further advancement of existing budgeting processes). Serve as liaison, in particular to the cross functional project related teams, by coordinating all budgeting and planning processes with these teams.
  • Analyze and interpret financial and other support data for management reports and presentations (G&A activities, cooperate with cross-functional teams and Czech subsidiary). Assist in preparation and review of periodic presentations to senior management, including the monthly Management Report.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support for senior management (modeling, benchmarking, performance analysis, etc.). Compare financial results to planned or forecasted results and recommend future actions for the departments and corporate.
  • Act as process coordinator in any corporate financing activities.
  • Assist the deal team in any financing activities (preparation of respective corporate financial models, liaise with respective departments, liaise with financing partner in their information requests).
  • Support on the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial figures (prepared under IFRS).

  • Degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Finance
  • 3 or more years of experience in relevant field
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Flexibility during peak periods, e.g. reporting periods, budgeting periods
  • Basic knowledge of Life Science R&D business preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English
