European Trainee Program Sales & Marketing Management

We offer a unique experience in sales and marketing at different European locations across ADM business units.

In sales you identify new market opportunities, visit our customers and learn how to leverage our extended product portfolio. You will be handling sales accounts and be part of deals with internationally respected clients.

In our marketing department you analyze markets and trends and develop new products concepts for food, beverages and animal nutrition.

You will collaborate with related business functions in purchasing, finance, R&D, operations, innovation and digital. An experienced colleague will mentor you throughout the program.

During year 1 you will

  • work in three different European countries and be part of our local teams.
  • be trained in the B2B and B2C industry in the exciting field of nutrition.
  • get a general view of our entire operation and value chain.
  • take on responsibility for challenging business projects and present your results to senior leaders.
  • gain expert knowledge and develop personal skills.

During year 2, you will have the opportunity to be integrated in one of our local teams at a European location.

After successful completion of the trainee program, we offer excellent development opportunities in a dynamically growing international company.


  • strong drive for success, great analytical skills, you are self-motivated, results oriented and you always strive for continuous improvement.
  • above-average bachelor or master degree in business administration, economics, food technology, agro engineering or related field.
  • high affinity to sales and marketing, nutrition and food trends.
  • acquired initial practical knowledge in the food industry including an international or intercultural experience.
  • the ability for analytical-conceptual but also creative work.
  • fun to build partnerships, work collaboratively across functions and cultures.
  • a good command in German and English.
  • a valid EU work permit.
