We are an international team comprised of scientists, product owners, business and IT experts working together to bring startup spirit, agile ways of working and digital solutions to Mercedes-Benz Trucks. We are at the forefront of a digital automotive revolution. Your mission is to build analytics solutions which use the vast amounts of data generated internally and from the sold vehicles, transforming bits and bytes into true business value.

Our interdisciplinary team works in short sprints to rapidly identify new opportunities, build proof-of-concepts and MVPs in Untertürkheim. By joining our team, we will provide you with learning and training opportunities to grow into an experienced data scientist.

Your Tasks will be:

  • Provide hands-on participation for multiple digitization initiatives across the Daimler Truck Sales
  • Participation on validating assumptions brought forward by different business units or other stakeholders using advanced analytics
  • Opportunity to develop your big data modeling, ETL skills and working from concept through to execution

Studies: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar
Language skills: Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
IT-skills: Experiences with MS-Office, preferable experiences: using SQL, Python, and/or R, Experience with machine learning, statistical tools and analysis, first experience with or willing to learn Cloud Computing, Big data ETL, Data warehouse, Tableau, Power BI
Soft skills: Demonstrated ability to distill and share complex technical concepts to a less technical audience
