Leading the digital marketing vision, strategy, and execution globally for PPG.
Building a digital marketing center of excellence that designs and executes a framework across all relevant/prioritized channels (paid search, organic search, email, affiliate, on-site merchandizing, display, retargeting and mobile). The framework would clearly define how campaigns should be created, executed, measured and optimized.
Partner with sales and marketing across PPG businesses to understand their priorities and strategic plan in order to identify and deliver solutions in the digital space that meets their needs.
Collaborate with regional/business and cross-functional leadership to define the optimal balance between driving global, regional, and local campaigns. This would vary by country/region and also by digital marketing channel.
Improving qualified traffic to PPG's digital assets and optimizing this traffic stream based on conversion and average order value maximizing profitable sales via all of PPG's channels (digital, offline).
Driving new customer acquisition via digital marketing channels and improving the retention and value of existing customers.
Driving an effective balance in the use of external agency and in-house resources, while structuring the program in an appropriate manner to gain global efficiencies while driving regional and local performance. Part of this would involve understanding current agency usage across business/regions and building a roadmap for agency consolidation.
Building and managing PPG level relationships with all digital marketing agencies and key digital marketing partners eg Google.
Developing and nurturing a world-class digital marketing team that will scale and thrive as the value contribution through the channel grows.
Ensuring that digital marketing tactics (eg SEO best practices) are well integrated into PPG's digital product development processes
Driving adoption of digital marketing best practices within PPG.
Managing the relationship with the business sales, marketing and digital organizations.
Building a center of excellence that supports PPG businesses around the globe, placing and managing internal/partner resources as appropriate in various markets.
Be an evangelist for Digital - introduce new innovative ideas, tools and processes to really drive Digital to the forefront of our go-to market channels.
PPG is looking for an executive who is passionate about digital with:
A minimum of 10 years of digital/marketing experience working on established, heavily trafficked, B2B/B2C websites.
Proven track record demonstrating the ability to build digital marketing teams, design relevant and effective frameworks that deliver business results.
Specific in-depth and hands-on knowledge and experience in search marketing (PPC, SEO), email marketing, display, retargeting and affiliate marketing at a management level minimum.
Track record in driving revenue and customer acquisition targets via digital marketing on a global basis.
Experience in managing large PPC budgets with market leading bid management tools such as Marin and Kenshoo.
Proven experience in A/B and multivariate testing.
Experience in using tools for: PPC, SEO, merchandizing, email marketing, display, retargeting, web analytics among others.
Experience with further building an omnichannel business of services on a global basis, developing an established brand and nurturing new growth opportunities.
