Establish a Head of Marketing leadership role that will position Sani Professional as a significant, fast growing player in foodservice and fulfill PDI's strategy of expansion into food safety. This will entail strategic marketing and product development competencies to deliver an aggressive 5-year strategic plan of profitable growth and a robust innovation pipeline. We are a relatively a new entrant in the foodservice space that has slowly but deliberately broken barriers of converting traditional protocols for cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting. This has resulted to double digit sales growth over the past 2 years.
Sani Professional aims to broaden its position in the food safety industry through territory, product, segment and channel expansion. The timing is of significant importance as demand for food safety and sanitation has most recently been elevated due to the public health crises from the Coronavirus pandemic. This has drawn new attention for chain of cleanliness from the kitchen to employees to guests. The outlook for accelerating market penetration and capturing new growth opportunities is now more prominent for Sani Professional.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Strategy Development (30%)
Undertake insights mining and discovery of away-from-home market trends and evolving regulatory guidelines on foodservice operations
Provide ongoing strategic business insights into Sani Professional's current and future product, segment and channel plans
Utilize suitable third-party market intelligence resources and build in-house intelligence capabilities
Innovation/New Platforms (30%)
Identify compelling, customer-focused solutions to fill the short-term, medium-term and long-term innovation pipeline.
Champion Rapid Innovation: effectively engineer multiple layers of interaction with Core Teams and BD&L and its alliances to secure first-to-market advantage.
High Performing Team Management and Development (25%)
Lead the Marketing Team through Change and Growth
Direct and guide the Product Management Group to deliver annual plans that include product improvements, cost savings initiatives, as well as operational requirements for demand and supply planning and ensuring high customer service levels Direct and guide the Customer Marketing Group to deliver annual plans that include brand development programs (brand messaging, business building, tools and resources) and customer engagement across all key touchpoints (digital marketing, customer programming and field execution)
Elevate marketing capabilities while providing professional growth opportunities to each member of the team
Define and implement a high performing team structure aligned to deliver the strategic plan and be a talent pool for the broader PDI organization
Closely collaborate with VP of Sales in executing business plans and fully supporting customer engagement
Strategic Partnerships (15%)
Be the Brand Ambassador for Sani Professional representing the brand that delivers a professional, positive experience in the industry.
Support the General Manager in forging and nurturing partnerships with key industry leaders and influencers to strengthen Sani Professional's Trusted Advisor status.
Achievement of annual and 5-year targets in net sales, variable margin (%) and operating income
On time launch and successful commercialization of new product projects
Thorough development and approval of business plans (Annual, Strategic)
Healthy Employee Engagement scores
Strong Performer, PMP Process
4-year undergraduate degree; post-graduate degree preferred;
Preferred areas of concentration: Business, Communication, Public Health or Engineering
ServSafe certification desired
Foodservice or related B2B industries; Healthcare or Public Health a plus
Upstream Marketing/Product Development
Analytics including market research tools and methodologies
Downstream Marketing including Digital
Desired: Technology and service platforms/e-commerce
5+ years Management level experience in a business consulting, market research or advertising agency required
Management or Director level experience in brand management strongly preferred
Prior people management experience required
Proficiency in critical thinking and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis > compelling solutions> strong buy-in > fast mobilization); adept with managing through ambiguity
Influencing/Negotiating Skills: leadership posture when dealing with peers, external partners and agencies; strong winning attitude
Collaboration: Effective team leader across different levels in the organization to deliver desired results
Decisiveness: ability to make clear-cut and timely decision with the appropriate amount of information
